LED Neon Signs Perform at Towngate Theatre

It’s important for Theatres to look vibrant and modern to appeal to a wide audience and what better way to create a great first impression than with new, vibrant LED Neon Signs, installed just in time for Panto season.

A complete LED neon sign solution –

Earlsmann Lighting was approached by their long-standing customer, Basildon Council in Essex to update the current Towngate Theatre neon signs with new LED neon signs to bring the wow factor to the Theatre. Earlsmann were able to design, manufacture, supply and install the new signs providing a complete solution.

At the rear of the theatre existing neon signs had proven to be very costly to repair as they were 20m up from the ground. At the front, whilst only at 4m, neon signs were again unreliable and costly to maintain.

Earlsmann at their best –

With no drawings available and no access to measure the neon, great care had to be taken checking and rechecking the dimensions which had to be scaled from the brickwork of the walls. It wasn’t the easiest of tasks, but Earlsmann were confident they were the right LED lighting company for the job.

From the measurements, the artwork could then be designed and produced and each of the letter sections were manufactured using polycarbonate templates and neonflex. The assemblies were then screwed in place and the wiring terminated through the wall.

Vibrant LED neon signs just in time for Panto Season –

Due to the imminent start of Panto season and other theatre events it was critical to install when the theatre was between shows to ensure minimal disruption and maintain revenue. Even the weather cooperated enabling the project to be completed when planned.

Towngate Theatre in Essex are very happy with their new signage which is ready in plenty of time for the start of the Christmas season. The client commented that the new colour brought a more “up to date” feel and added vibrancy to the signs.

The theatre now benefits from bright, illuminated LED neon signs that are durable, reliable and will provide significant savings in cost.
