LED Fluorescent Tube Replacement

The Earlsmann range of LED replacements for fluorescent tubes are perfect for commercial applications where high efficiency and long life, to reduce maintenance costs, are important. They emit no UV and run cool and have a service life up to 50000 hours. The LEDs are guaranteed for 5 years.  The tubes are  manufactured  from polycarbonate with an aluminium backing so are extremely durable.  Standard tubes have single ended wiring to comply with the latest safety requirements.

Why not go double ended?

Since it is necessary to rewire the fitting anyway, it may be preferable to replace the existing ballast with a new, external LED driver and use the existing wiring to a low voltage tube.  (<50V).  A major advantage with the drive mounted external to the tube is reliability.  Conversion for emergency operation is simplified and options for 1-10 dimming, daylight harvesting and DALI make then ideal for compatibility with building management systems and to maximise savings on power and maintenance.

There are many suppliers of LED tubes.  When compariing different products check the lumen output is equivalent and check they are fully emc compliant so will interfere not with monitors and computer systems.
