It is a requirement in the UK to provide adequate backup lighting in case of a power failure.  However, many of the LED products imported from China do not have this as an option.

Earlsmann recognised this, so much of the range of LED lighting has emergency operation available.  Depending on the model, standard light levels between 100 and 450 lumens are provided.  However, light levels up to 1200 lumens, or more, are possible, if there is sufficient space for the batteries required, ensuring minimum requirements are easily met.  All lights will provide 3 hours lighting under emergency conditions.
